Harrogate girl surprised with end of term flight from school
A 7-year-old girl from Harrogate has received an end of term treat to remember - a helicopter flight into school.
Dacre Braithwaite pupil Alice was surprised with the news that she would be picked up and flown above the Harrogate district by helicopter. It's all part of our 'End of Term Flight' competition with Helijet Aviation. Alice was taken on a trip to remember alongside her mum Sarah, dad Dave and sister Naomi. Speaking to Your Harrogate ahead of the flight, Sarah said:“We’ve never been in a helicopter and just couldn’t believe it when we found out we'd won. It’s just amazing, thank you!”Alice's Dad Dave added:
“It was amazing to win. I was nearby when Sarah took the call that we’d won - it’s just an amazing feeling. "When you win something like that, you just don’t believe it.”Dacre Braithwaite Head Jo Dobbs said:
"We were all really excited when we found out but of course, as a Headteacher, I was anxious too!"Watch the moment Alice found out that she was our competition winner here: https://www.tiktok.com/@yourharrogate/video/7257855600887893275 A special thanks once again to Helijet Aviation for making the competition possible.
