Harrogate firm donates £87,000 to National Children's Air Ambulance

Impulse Decisions' freelance team handed over the cheque to National Children's Air Ambulance.

A Harrogate-based business has presented its latest cheque to the National Children's Air Ambulance.

Impulse Decisions presented a cheque for £87,000 to the National Children’s Air Ambulance earlier this month, following another year of fundraising in support of the charity's lifesaving transfers.

Since 2022, the Harrogate-based business has donated £261,000 to the charity, which transfers critically ill babies, infants and children to specialist care teams across England, Scotland and Wales.

With an average mission costing around £5,500, the latest cheque could help fund approximately 47 lifesaving missions.

Impulse Decisions specialises in delivering professional silent auctions as part of event fundraising, sourcing exclusive prizes and managing the full auction process.

Through this service, participating events have collectively generated significant funds for the Children’s Air Ambulance.

Earlier this month, team members visited the National Children’s Air Ambulance base at Retford Gamston Airport to hand over the cheque for £87,000.

The cheque was presented by Aimee Locke, Head of Events, Will Ferguson, Director of Fundraising, Heidi Merrin, Marketing Director and members of Impulse Decisions’ freelance team who deliver the auctions at events.

Sharon Evans, Business Development Manager at The National Children’s Air Ambulance, said:

“We are incredibly grateful to the team at Impulse Decisions for their continued support.

"As we receive no government funding, partnerships like this play a crucial role in ensuring we can keep our helicopter in the air and continue delivering our vital service to children and families when they need us most.”

Heidi Merrin, Marketing Director at Impulse Decisions, said:

“We are delighted to donate this money to the National Children’s Air Ambulance to help support seriously ill children and their families across the country.

"What the charity does is incredible at a time when families need it most.

"We’re proud to continue our partnership and are determined to keep raising vital funds for such an important cause.”
