Harrogate entrepreneur James Marsden has launched a sports recruitment consultancy.
James who already runs events company, Impulse Decisions, set up the specialised, permanent recruitment consultancy focused on mid to senior-level placements within the sports industry, with Tom Lawrenson.
IronHart Sports Recruitment specialises in helping top sporting teams, brands, broadcasters, organisations, and sports technology companies identify and recruit the ideal candidate for their staffing needs.
The new Harrogate company was founded to leverage the combined expertise of the two industry professionals. Tom, brings 12 years of experience in senior recruitment roles, and James, has an extensive background and strong reputation in the sports industry, through his existing company.
Together, they identified a significant gap in the market for a specialised recruitment partner within the sports sector—an area in which both Tom and James share a deep passion and commitment.
Cofounder, James Marsden said:
“We are passionate about sports, and this is reflected in our unparalleled expertise and dedication to the sector.
“With more than 15 years of experience including both local and global reach, we connect elite talent with some of the world’s most renowned sporting teams, brands, broadcasters, organisations, and sports technology companies.”
Tom Lawrenson, Head of Sports Recruitment said:
“Our approach is centred on building strong, lasting relationships. We take the time to understand the unique needs of both our clients and candidates, ensuring the best possible match for everyone involved.
“Our deep market knowledge, combined with a commitment to honesty and transparency throughout the process, allows us to deliver innovative, tailored recruitment solutions.”
Tom added:
“I am delighted to announce the launch of IronHart Sports Recruitment.
“James and I share a mutual love of sport, and the opportunity to combine our respective expertise in this exciting new venture is really exciting.
“With Impulse Decisions' excellent reputation in the sports and events industry and my extensive experience in recruitment, this partnership is a natural and strategic next step.
“We are excited to bring our shared vision to life and offer specialised recruitment services to the sector we are both so passionate about.”
