A Harrogate DJ is turning up the volume for a good cause with a high-energy House Music night to raise funds for Mind and Diabetes UK.
"Let’s Rave Awareness" takes place on 11th October at The Engine Shed in Wetherby - and tickets are already selling fast.
The lineup for the event features Andi Durrant, local legend DJ Trev, Yetii, Aaaron Sharman, Shariz, and a special set from the organiser himself, Pete Stoner.
Pete, who rediscovered his passion for DJing after attending several events last year, including the iconic Love To Be Festival, was inspired to create a night that celebrates music and gives back.
As a member of the Mental Health First Aid Team at his workplace, Earthmill Maintenance, he approached the company for support.
They stepped up as the main sponsor, allowing proceeds from the night to go directly to charity.
Pete said:
“I went to Love To Be last year, and it completely reignited my love for house music and mixing.
“Being involved in mental health support at work, the first charity that came to mind was…. Mind.
“A co-worker sadly passed away last year due to diabetes, so the other charity had to be Diabetes UK.”
With the support of industry icon Andi Durrant, who generously agreed to perform for free, Pete pulled together a stellar lineup to help bring people together through the power of music.
The party kicks off at 4pm and will go on until late, with food available to purchase on site.
Tickets are priced at £15 and are available now via Eventbrite here.
