A Harrogate care home has raised £500 for charity as part of its first ever Summer Fayre.
Fairfax Manor Care Home hosted the inaugural event on Saturday (12th July), marking a memorable day of “community spirit, sunshine, and celebration.”
The event featured a variety of fun-filled activities including traditional games, local stalls, and a popular raffle, with fantastic prizes generously donated by local businesses and stallholders.

Thanks to the generosity of attendees, Fairfax Manor has announced that the event raised £500 in donations for St Michael’s Hospice, helping to support the vital care they provide across the region.
Lucy Gradwell, Home Manager at Fairfax Manor said:
“We were overwhelmed by the turnout and the enthusiasm of everyone who joined us.
“It was a wonderful day of joy, laughter, and giving back – and we’re thrilled to make a contribution to such a meaningful local charity.”
Fairfax Manor Care Home has thanked "everyone who made the day a success", including volunteers, local businesses, families, and residents.
