A Harrogate care provider's unique casino fundraising event has raised £2,400 for the charity.
‘Casino Royale’ evening was held for the second year running by Harrogate Neighbours and took place at St Robert’s Catholic Club.
Drawing in the crowds, money raised from the Viva Las-Vegas themed event will support vital services run by Harrogate Neighbours and volunteers to help older and vulnerable people in the community.
The fundraiser welcomed 100 guests, including local residents, businesses, staff, and supporters who used ‘fun money’ throughout the night.

Every table was filled throughout the three-hour event, with funds raised through ticket sales and a raffle.
Sue Cawthray, CEO of Harrogate Neighbours, said:
“We are absolutely delighted by the incredible support for this year’s event. It was fantastic to see so many people come together for such a fun evening, all in aid of a cause that truly makes a difference.
“The funds raised will go directly towards improving a vital service that is a lifeline for so many in our community. We are so grateful to everyone who attended and supported us and we intend to bring back the event next year, making it a hat-trick.”

Guests enjoyed a welcome drink provided by Whitby Distillery, live music, entertainment by a magician and a full casino experience, with poker tables pulling in the serious players, while blackjack and roulette created a buzz among a more relaxed crowd.
All proceeds will go towards purchasing new equipment for The Cuttings to improve kitchen facilities that support both residents and the organisation’s essential Meals on Wheels – a vital service which delivers over 150 hot meals by volunteers into the community every day.
