Harrogate cafe owner to take on running challenge for cancer charity A Harrogate business owner is set to take on a famous running challenge this weekend, Guy Middleton, the owner of The Chocolate Works in Harrogate, is set to take on the Great North Run in aid of The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR). The event takes place on Sunday (10th September) and Guy is hoping to raise £100 for every mile of the 13.1-mile route. So far he has raised just under £800 towards his £1,300 target. He said:
"I know there are endless demands on your cash, but we are all touched by this disease one way or another, at some time or another, so give what you can. "The big hairy goal is to raise £100 a mile - quite expensive for the first few miles, but cheap for the last few I would venture to suggest!"Guy opened The Chocolate Works on Station Parade in April - the third cafe of its name alongside others in Skipton and Clitheroe.
