Harrogate BID has relaunched a popular match-funding grant scheme to support the town’s business community with store front and accessibility improvements.
Every year, the Business Improvement District (BID) provides the match-funding to its member businesses for support with improvement works.
The aim is to both create a "great first impression" for visitors to the town and also allow residents and businesses to "take pride in their place."
Harrogate BID’s Chief Executive, Matthew Chapman, said:
“We want to continue to champion Harrogate as the jewel in Yorkshire’s crown and creating a fantastic first impression is a big part of this.
“Any of our levy-paying members are eligible to help spruce up their shop front or enhance accessibility into their store.
“Multiple businesses benefit from this grant every year and we’re always keen to offer supportive funding such as this.”
The organisation will provide match-funding up to £750 towards these works.
All members within the Harrogate BID area are eligible to apply for the grant, which is available on a first-come-first-served basis.
The grant offers investment into repairs and redecorations of entrances and fronts, refurbishment or replacement of graphics and signage and improvements on accessibility including the installation of ramps, handrails or automatic doors.
Any businesses wishing to submit a request for a grant should email info@harrogatebid.co.uk with a short description of the proposed work, any equipment needed, the expected completion date and any quotations.
