Everything you need to know about Harrogate’s Christmas Fayre

Harrogate's Christmas Fayre returns tomorrow (Friday).

Final preparations are underway ahead of the return of Harrogate's Christmas Fayre tomorrow (Friday).

The 3-week market is delivered by Market Place in collaboration with Visit North Yorkshire, part of North Yorkshire Council.

It will feature up to 40 traders from countries such as the Netherlands, France, Ecuador and Greece, along with a wide variety of traders from Harrogate and North Yorkshire.

From its town centre location, the Christmas Market is a great place to pick up some unique gifts that you won’t find on the high street.

The Market opens at 10am tomorrow and closes on 15th December at 4:30pm.

Andy Pidgen, Market Manager, said:

“We’re thrilled to bring our award-winning Christmas market back to this historic spa town for an extended 17-day celebration.

“Our research highlights the positive impact our events have on town centre economies, with last year’s market providing a significant annual boost in trade according to Harrogate’s hotel managers.

“Beyond the economic impact, it’s wonderful to see families, friends, and groups enjoying themselves and embracing the festive atmosphere."

The fayre will be open from 10am until 7pm on Monday to Saturday, and 10am until 4:30pm on Sundays.

Traditional arts and crafts will be available alongside an array of treats.

Visitors can enjoy a winter warmer or signature festive cocktail from the Fayre's new award-winning mobile bar or tuck into Greek gyros and loaded Christmas sandwiches.

The ever-popular Candy Cane Express road train will also be returning, whisking market-goers around town each Friday through Sunday during the Christmas Fayre.

The giant 32-meter Ferris wheel is also back for use both day and night, at a cost of £7 per adult and £5 per child (under 1.2metres).

The wheel will be open from 11am to 7pm until Sunday 22nd December.
