Residents in parts of the Harrogate district are being advised not to drink their tap water following test results showing the supply does not currently meet usual safety standards.
The precautionary notice affects several properties in the HG3 area, including parts of Darley, Birstwith, and Menwith Hill.
Affected addresses include homes and buildings on Forest Moor, Menwith Hill Road, Cote Hill Road, Back Road, Stumps Lane, Sleights Lane, and Langer Hill Lane.
Customers living at these properties are being asked to follow the current advice, which includes not drinking tap water, not using it for cooking or preparing food, brushing teeth, or giving it to pets.
Boiling the water will not make it safe to drink.
Tap water can still be used for washing, bathing, flushing toilets, and washing dishes and clothes.
