Brace yourself for an incredible hour of drama later today, as the nation’s best-loved characters crossover in an explosive soap special.
ITV’s highly anticipated Corriedale will air tonight at 8pm
For the very first time in British soap history the one-hour dramatic episode sees the worlds of Coronation Street and Emmerdale come together.
Your Harrogate’s David Whittle joined a star-studded red carpet at the Science and Media Museum last month in Bradford for the premier of Corriedale.
Interviews with some of the cast from both soaps including from Corrie, Claire Sweeny and from Emmerdale, Danny Miller will be on Your Harrogate throughout Monday ahead of the episode starting with Ricky Durkin who takes over the Your Harrogate breakfast show today.
Claire Sweeney, who plays Cassie Plumber in Coronation Street, told Your Harrogate:
“This is a piece of history! You look back on Corrie at the tram crash and Emmerdale when the plane came down - this is going to be another part of history, the two soaps merging in one explosive episode, which is wonderful.”
The special episode will launch ITV’s new ‘soap power hour’ scheduling pattern for Coronation Street and Emmerdale.
Corriedale airs on ITV1 and ITVX tonight (Monday 5th January) at 8pm.
