Carefound Home Care hosted a Christmas Coffee Morning, bringing local older people together and raising over £290 for Saint Michael’s Hospice.
Christmas coffee morning raises over £290 for Saint Michael's Hospice A Harrogate care organisation has raised more than £290 for charity after bringing local older people together.
Carefound Home Care, which supports older people in their own homes, transformed Harrogate Elim Church into a festive haven, hosting over 50 people at their Christmas Coffee Morning.
The event was organised to bring people together at Christmas and included Carefound Home Care clients, family members, carers, health professionals and others from the local community.
Attendees not only enjoyed warm conversation and complimentary hot drinks and mince pies, but they were also treated to a performance by the Willow Tree Primary School choir.
‘Reindeer on the Roof’ was a particular favourite which had everybody smiling and tapping their feet.
A Carefound Home Care client’s daughter said:
“A welcoming, festive atmosphere with lots of joy. The carol singing was brilliant, and it was very enjoyable to see lots of different faces and to see staff in a non-formal way.”
Thanks to people’s generosity, over £290 was raised for Harrogate hospice care charity, Saint Michael’s Hospice. Most of this came from the tombola with gifts kindly donated by local Harrogate businesses, including BeBaBo Hair Salon, Little Breads, Luce and Bear, Acklams Beta, Petite Retreat, G&T’s Ice Cream Parlour, The Fat Badger, and Julia’s Patisserie.

“We were delighted to be the chosen charity for Carefound Home Care’s Christas Coffee Morning.
“As a charity, Saint Michael’s relies on the support of our incredible community to keep providing our specialist care and support, and we truly couldn’t do what we do without the help of amazing local organisations like Carefound Home Care.
“It costs over £7million every year to provide our range of specialist services, and so events like this go a long way in helping us continue to be there for people when they need us most.”
