Birstwith CE Primary School has officially opened a new adventure playground.
The playground marks a significant investment in the school’s outdoor provision.
It includes climbing frames, balance trails, imaginative play zones and inclusive features, all intended to accommodate children of different ages and abilities.
The project was delivered through a combination of school funding, fundraising efforts led by parents and carers, and contributions from the wider local community.
Organisers say this collective support has helped create a safe and engaging environment where pupils can explore and stay active.
A school spokesperson said:
“Pupils have already begun making the most of the new facilities, with laughter and excitement filling the playground as they discover new ways to play and interact.
“The school extends its sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to making this project a reality and we look forward to seeing generations of children benefit from this wonderful new addition.”
