Yorkshire Air Ambulance are encouraging people to turn yellow for Yorkshire this July.
The initiative, known as Yellow Yorkshire 2026, will run from 6th to 12th July and aims to raise funds for the charity’s life-saving work.
Schools, businesses and community groups are being invited to get involved by organising activities with a yellow theme.
Suggestions include non-uniform days in schools, bake sales and shop or window displays.
The campaign is designed to be flexible, allowing participants to choose how they would like to support the charity while helping raise awareness of its work across the region.
Yorkshire Air Ambulance provides rapid-response emergency services across the county, relying heavily on public donations to operate as it costs around £19,000 per day to keep the helicopters airborne.
The charity says every fundraising effort, no matter how big or small, helps support its crews in responding to incidents and delivering urgent medical care.
More information about how to take part and fundraising ideas can be found on the Yorkshire Air Ambulance website here.
