Light Up A Life 2025

This festive season, Saint Michael’s invites everyone in the community to join our Light Up a Life service, as we come together to remember those we love who have died, and celebrate the light that those special to us have brought to our lives.
We recognise that Christmas is a time usually spend with loved ones, and can be very difficult for those who are grieving or missing someone special. With this in mind, the service is one of warmth and remembrance, taking place outside Saint Michael’s Hospice, at Hornbeam Park in Harrogate, and featuring the lighting of our tree, where each light symbolises a life remembered.
The event is free to attend and will include a carol service, meaningful readings and festive refreshments.
We invite you to make a donation and dedicate a meaningful tribute to someone you love. You may have already had a Light Up A Life booklet through your letterbox, which includes a donation form for you to complete and return in the post. Alternatively, you can visit our website and choose a light on our Virtual Christmas tree, where you can personalise your dedication with a photo and message.

Your tribute does more than remember. It helps your local hospice to provide expert care and support for families in our community at the most difficult of times.
Every light helps us to continue providing compassionate end-of-life care for local people when they need it most. With every Light Up a Life dedication of £30 or more, you’ll receive your own Christmas decoration for you to cherish at home or bring with you to one of our services.
Celebrate their life by lighting up our special Christmas tree. Together, we’ll light up winter with love and remembrance.
