More than 50,000 daffodils are expected to bloom at Goldsborough Hall when the gardens open for the National Garden Scheme on Sunday 29 March.

The display is centred on the Hall’s Lime Tree Walk, where the daffodils sit beneath a row of trees planted during the 1920s when the estate was home to HRH Princess Mary. The result is one of the area’s most established and visually striking spring scenes.

The opening forms part of the National Garden Scheme, raising funds for charities including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie and Hospice UK.

Clare Oglesby, co-owner of Goldsborough Hall, said:
‘The daffodils along the Lime Tree Walk are always one of the defining moments of the season. It is a simple but very special display, and we are pleased to open the gardens again in support of the National Garden Scheme.’

Visitors can walk the gardens freely, with head gardener talks taking place during the day. Refreshments will be available, along with a plant sale from Summerfield Nursery.
