Charity carol evening raises more than £11,000 for St Michael's Hospice

The annual charity carol evening held at Rudding Park has raised more than £11,000 for St Michael's Hospice.

A charity carol evening at Rudding Park has raised more than £11,000 for St Michael's Hospice, Just 'B' and Herriot Hospice Homecare. The event was hosted on Monday 13th December and started with a carol service lead by the Bishop of Ripon. This was followed by dinner and a raffle hosted by Your Harrogate's Nick Hancock. The event is held annually as a long-standing tradition, marking the start of the festive season with an evening of carols, food and prizes. And this year a grant total of £11,401 was raised, with the funds going towards supporting families at home, in hospices and across the county. Tony Collins, Chief Executive at St Michaels, said:

"It was really lovely to hear the choir in the beautiful chapel and to be sharing a celebration with everyone in person this year. "We are incredibly grateful to Simon and Judi Mackaness [Owners of Rudding Park] for hosting this annual event to raise vital funds for local families living with terminal illness and bereavement. "We could not provide our care and support without the generosity of our community and your support helps make this possible."
