Harrogate Town Manager Simon Weaver has branded this weekend's clash with Morecambe a 'six-pointer' in his side's hunt for a play-off spot. Town welcome the Shrimps to the EnviroVent Stadium tomorrow (Saturday 20th March) and currently sit eight points behind them in the League Two table. And after a disappointing 2-1 defeat against Forest Green last time out, Simon Weaver is expecting his side to come out fighting tomorrow afternoon:

"I'm expecting a very tough game, but I'm also expecting us to come out like wounded animals. We lost a game that was winnable last week, we're hurting from that, but we've had a lot of rest and we're prepared. "We're going to give everything we possibly can to get a win on Saturday because of what's at stake."

Harrogate Town are currently 12th in the League Two standings, but with eight points separating them and Morecambe in 7th, the final play-off place is still in sight. Simon added:

"If they beat us then eleven points is going to be really hard to make up between now and the end of the season - it's basically a six-pointer. We can blow it wide open if we win the game."

Speaking about staying in the division and avoiding relegation, the Town boss believes his side are on the cusp of achieving their goal:

"I'm looking at the table and thinking we probably need two more wins just to 100% do it, but we've found ourselves in a good spot because of the progress made over the last month and a half. "We're hopefully nearly there but until it's mathematically impossible to go down, we won't just sit back and think we've made it, as that's the worst mistake we could make. We have to make sure the job is done."
